Biblical Genome
the Genome of the Good

A map of biblical reality, built to answer one question rigorously: what is goodness, and why does reality work this way?

What this is

Not a topical Bible and not a rulebook — a network of concept-threads, each traced through the whole biblical story. Love, justice, truth, mercy, humility: every thread is a strand you can grab and follow from God's own nature down to the new creation. It speaks in a definite voice — classical, Scripture-first, Protestant — because a map with a point of view can be walked.

The shape of the map

The graph is a wheel, not a ladder. Christ is the hub — "in him all things hold together" — and every thread crosses at him: the definition of goodness embodied, the rescue accomplished, the destination arrived early. Communion with God is the destination: every traversal on this map ends there. And the map is self-similar — each node passes through the same six-stage arc the whole Bible does:

Source → Creation → Fall → Gospel → Renewed Life → Restoration

What is this virtue in God's nature? How was it designed into creation? How does sin bend it — and into which counterfeits? How does Christ embody and restore it? How is it practiced now? What does it become in the new creation? One node, the whole story.

Three tiers

Headwaters (the large rings) are the great threads — Love, Justice, Holiness, Grace — carrying the full arc plus a Reality Logic field and, where needed, the Tensions they must hold. Branches are the substantial virtues and gospel-realities beneath them. Leaves are the concrete commands — "do not lie," "pay fair wages" — each linked up to the branch it grows from.

The honesty rules

Every scripture anchor is tagged stated — the text says it — or derived — a sound inference. The map never passes a theological inference off as a quotation. Where a real tension exists (judgment vs. mercy, eye-for-eye vs. enemy-love), it is held explicitly in a Tensions field rather than papered over; where a question is genuinely contested among faithful readers, the node is flagged and the ruling deferred.

Why "Reality Logic"?

The field that separates this map from a moral encyclopedia. It answers why reality works this way: pride is resistance to reality because creatures are dependent beings; falsehood fractures communion because reality is grounded in God's faithfulness. The command and the reason are one.

How to walk it

Click any node to open it and unfold its children; click it again to fold them away. Sections inside the panel open as you need them; the Traversal chain at the bottom walks the node end to end. Search finds anything, however deeply folded. Start anywhere — every road leads through the hub, and home.
